This product and associated wiring locates entirely within the fuse box and is designed to allow remote control switching between the superb “loud mode” exhaust tone that Astons can deliver and the sometimes more practical “quiet mode” at the press of a button on a remote fob.Fitting the module to the Rapide takes longer than other Astons at around 25 minutes, the unit does however come with very detailed fitting instructions.
Product Operation:
It operates by controlling the exhaust vacuum system solenoid direct from the key fob, where you can select the superb loud mode that opens the valves fully through all rev ranges.
The unit is set to be in normal or quiet mode as the default for starting up, this will utilise the existing vacuum controls to hold the by pass valves in the exhaust box in quiet mode until revs are north of 4000 RPM, operating totally as Aston originally designed it to. The Loud button can then be pressed at any time to release the superb enhanced exhaust note that gives such a delightful distinctive tone, in particular from around 1400 RPM upward (a far more common rev range for day to day driving) The Rapide S6 module creates a pleasing change in exhaust tone, giving a louder, deeper, V12 enhanced sound.

Options: Unlike all of our other Exhaust Remotes we do not offer the S6 with a "start loud" option as this significantly changes the character of the cars exhaust to a sound level that will not suit all Rapide owners as the default start up point, though the AM-R6 will accomodate start loud for you, should you wish.
This product fits all Variants of the Rapide From the Original 2010 build through to the final AMR models and makes a pleasing, louder, deep V12 sound change on all models.
